Training Workshop on Changing Market Requirements for Timber & Timber Products

26th March 2013, Hangar, Belém, Brazil – International market requirements for timber products are influencing the way the timber trade operates.  The event organized by The Forest Trust (TFT) through the Timber Trade Action Plan (TTAP) and European Timber Trade Federation (ETTF) updated the producers and exporters in the Amazon region on the EU, USA and Australian illegal logging initiatives.  In addition, practical case studies presented the different approaches taken by producers and buyers to meet these requirements, offering solutions to maintain market access with their high value markets.

Anna Fanzeres, Brazil Coordinator of the TRAFFIC EU FLEGT project participated at the workshop and gave a presentation on Timber Legality projects.
